EUROPEAN PET NETWORK
EUROPEAN PET NETWORK powstał w 1997 roku w Brukseli i zrzesza najważniejsze bazy danych z terenu Państw Unii Europejskiej. Założeniem tej organizacji jest ujednolicenie kwestii elektronicznego znakowania zwierząt, polegające na umieszczeniu zbiorów z poszczególnych krajów, w jednej i ogólnodostępnej bazie danych. Pozwala to na odnalezienie danych zaczipowanego zwierzęcia w dowolnym kraju Europy i Świata. Lekarze weterynarii w Europie doskonale wiedzą o ewidencji EUROPETNET i tu w pierwszej kolejności poszukują danych zaginionych zwierząt.
W chwili obecnej w bazie EUROPETNET znajduje się ponad 14 milionów danych zwierząt poddanych elektronicznej identyfikacji.
Geulincx Poland Sp. z o.o. na mocy postanowienia z dnia 20 maja 2007 roku, stała się równoprawnym członkiem organizacji i od tego momentu systematycznie przesyła dane z Międzynarodowej Bazy Danych SAFE-ANIMAL.

The European Pet Network is a non-profit making association grouping several animal databases from various European Countries. The aim of the association is to give everyone concerned a tool to find the owner of an animal identified by a microchip and registered in a database. Its main concern is animal welfare.
EPN is accessible through its website, which makes it possible to find information about the databases where the lost animal is registered.
SAFE-ANIMAL is a member of the association and will provide to the site the microchip number of the animal only and information about the SAFE-ANIMAL database. For data protection purposes SAFE-ANIMAL will not provide owners details or information about the animal itself.
The EPN will confirm whether the microchip number searched is registered with SAFE-ANIMAL. SAFE-ANIMAL will soon be forwarding information to the EPN on a regular basis, by secure means, including details of microchips registered to SAFE-ANIMAL, to ensure that the information on the site is as up to date as possible.
